We’re looking for both full-time and part-time help at Georgia’s Little Salem Shop on Front Street in Salem, MA for the 2026 fall & holiday season! Details on tasks, the ideal candidate, schedule & compensation are listed below!
What You’ll Do:
· Run Sales Counter & Help Customers (Manage opening/closing procedures; Run sales counter and ring up customers checking out; Answer questions about the brand, offer suggestions for visitors, etc.)
· Restocking & Merchandising (Monitor stock levels on the floor and replenish sales floor shelves; Monitor product displays to maximize visual appeal)
· Maintain Store Cleanliness (Dusting shelves, cleaning display fixtures, vacuuming aisles, breaking down empty boxes, etc).
· Managing Store Capacity (Keeping store within visitor capacity, managing customer line at the door, etc)
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate…
- is an outgoing, people-person with 2-3 years retail experience who enjoys engaging with customers
- has an all-hands-on-deck attitude and is ready to jump in to help where needed
- is a detail-oriented, self-starter – you see something that needs doing and you take initiative to address it
- is local to Salem and has reliable transportation to be in person at the store
- available to work weekends and ready to take on the hustle-and-bustle of Salem’s high season (September-December)
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION:
We are hiring for both weekday and weekend coverage with shifts ranging from 4 hours, 6 hours, and 8 hours. Opportunities for additional hours will be offered as they arise. There is also an opportunity for this to become a full-time role for the right candidate and pending availability on the team.
Hourly pay rate is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and depth of experience. Employees who maintain zero unexcused absences over the month of October qualify for a bonus at the end of their seasonal term.
